Diggity Dog Resort is committed to ensuring that our website, diggitydogresort.com, is accessible to all visitors, including those who use assistive technologies. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and continually work to improve the accessibility of our site.

What We've Done

The following accessibility features are implemented across this site:

• Semantic HTML — Pages use proper landmark elements (header, nav, main, footer, section) so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
• ARIA attributes — Interactive elements including navigation, menus, modals, and dialogs include appropriate aria-label, aria-expanded, aria-hidden, and role attributes.
• Alternative text — All meaningful images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images are marked with empty alt text or aria-hidden="true".
• Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements — navigation, booking modal, mobile menu — are operable via keyboard. The booking modal closes on Escape.
• Color contrast — Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. Body text is dark (#3A3A3A) on light backgrounds; reversed text on dark backgrounds is set at a minimum of 85% opacity white.
• Responsive design — The site is fully responsive and functional at any screen width from 375px and up, accommodating zoom and text size adjustments.
• Focus management — Interactive dialogs (booking modal, mobile menu) manage focus appropriately on open and return focus on close.

Known Limitations

We are actively working to improve accessibility across the site. Areas we are currently working on include:

• The third-party booking system (PawPartner) is outside our direct control. We encourage PawPartner to maintain accessible interfaces and will advocate for improvements if barriers are identified.
• The embedded Google Maps iframe may have limitations for some assistive technology users. Directions and address information are also provided as plain text links on the Contact page.
