The Woman Behind the Pack

She made a list. Dogs came first

My story is very boring. I spent decades in a high-stress corporate environment — Northwestern undergrad, MBA from the University of Chicago, 65-plus hours a week and constant travel. At some point I followed the oldest advice: make a list of the things you love and start there. My list had two items — ice cream and dogs. I decided to take a stab at the dog thing first.

I spent weeks driving up and down every street in downtown and central Salt Lake City looking for a building that was the right size and properly zoned — somewhere convenient for commuters and people heading to the airport. I found an old roofing company building for sale and made an offer from my car, sitting on the street. I had zero experience with dogs, but I'd spent a career learning how to run a business at places like Nabisco, Revlon, and Sunbeam. I took all of my savings, got a Small Business Loan, and built Diggity Dog Resort from the ground up.

What We Believe

Every dog deserves a place that feels like home

  • Safety through real standards

Every dog is temperament tested and vaccinated before joining the pack. The bar is high because it has to be.

  • We get to know your dog

Our team gets to know every dog — their personality, their quirks, and what makes them comfortable. That familiarity makes a real difference.

  • Families that return for over a decade

Some of our customers have been with us for over 10 years. A few of their dogs have since passed — but when they get a new one, they come right back. That loyalty means everything to us.

"Every time I leave my dachshund, he is received with open arms. He is happy when I pick him up. The first time I took him he was very scared — one of the staff held him until he felt safe and comfortable."
